HANDBUILDING CLAY FOR ALL AGES 9 AND UP
SHandbuilding Clay for Kids & Teens (Ages 9+) Semester Course
Get creative with clay in this fun and educational course designed for students ages 9 and up! Adults are welcome to take this class with their child.
From the very first pinch pot to a fully glazed masterpiece, explore the exciting world of handbuilding.
Throughout the course, students will practice:
Pinch, coil, and slab techniques to build everything from cups to sculptures.
Hump and slump molds to create bowls, trays, and unique shapes.
Surface design with carving, textures, and colorful underglazes.
How clay transforms through the bisque fire and glaze fire process in the kiln.
By the end of the class, students will have completed several finished, food-safe ceramic pieces.
This class is open to both beginners and experienced students. Adults are welcome to take this class with their child.

Class is 14 weeks beginning on Monday, August 24th. All supplies are included: Clay, glazes, and firings $420
