Handbuilding Clay for Kids & Teens (Ages 9+) 10-Week Course

Get creative with clay in this fun and educational 10-week course designed for students ages 9 and up! Adults are welcome to take this class with their child.

From the very first pinch pot to a fully glazed masterpiece, explore the exciting world of handbuilding.

Throughout the course, students will practice:

• Pinch, coil, and slab techniques to build everything from cups to sculptures.

• Hump and slump molds to create bowls, trays, and unique shapes.

• Surface design with carving, textures, and colorful underglazes.

• How clay transforms through the bisque fire and glaze fire process in the kiln.

By the end of the class, students will have completed several finished, food-safe ceramic pieces.

This class is open to both beginners and experienced students.   Adults are welcome to take this class with their child.
